Cheryl: Re: Radio appearances. A few offerings from a current talk radio host/TAVA investor/reformed lurker. (1) The worst is behind you. The first time is always the toughest. (2) Knowledge of subject matter. You're definitely ahead of the curve on that one. One less thing to concern yourself with. (3) Logistically, the only thing you need to pay attention to is the microphone. Make sure your comments are always directed into it from a distance of 6-8". (4) Make your answers concise and relatively short. (5) Be natural. If you talk the way you write, you'll be terrific.(6) Remember, it's really only a two way conversation between you and the host. Forget about the listening audience. If they put you on with a caller, it is just like talking with a friend. The caller is probably more nervous than you are. (7) If you have a specific topic you want to cover, let the host know about it ahead of time so he/she can jot it down. (8) Last and MOST IMPORTANTLY: Utter TAVA at least twice per each response. For example: Host: How are you doing today Cheryl? Cheryl: I couldn't TAVA be better TAVA. Thank you for TAVA asking!
