When I worked there, they put a new office bldg next to ours at 17th and L. In the foundation, we found fossil mangrove trees from when the ocean was up the Bay. We wanted to run them for public office, but decided taht since there was so much deadwood already...

And Monica is being elevated to cultural icon...

A local radio show now has a new billboard on Highway 101 in San Jose, CA. There situated in the dead center is the station's locally recognizable symbol flanked by a cartoon character of the morning hosts on the right and a cartoon character of Monica Lewinsky on the left. Under Monica's pic the words "Sucks" are emblazoned underneath and the words "Don't Suck" below the DJ's pic. Who woulda thunk it...
