The spelling mistakes are there so I can A. not be sued for plagerism. and.....B. I'm a natural born mispeller I have the magazine in front of me. I was upset and then angry upon reading it. Page 35 An article on Jim McDougal "He thought Hillery a devious ingrate" With that I must go earn my keep, by making cornbeef and cabbage.

From my copy of Newsweek: ...But when Newsweek's story appeared in August, Tripp felt freat pressure from Lewinsky to back off her account of the Willey episode. Lewinsky told her the president was "upset" with her over the article and that the White House considered her an "enemy", according to the source familiar with Tripp's account. At the Time, Tripp wrote to Newsweek, not contradicting any specific facts, but saying, "Whatever happened that day in the Oval Office, if anything, is known to only two people". Tripp has said she felt pushed to write the letter by Lewinsky, who advised her that it would be a wise career move. Lewinsky kept up the pressure, according to the source familiar with Tripp's account, and seemed frantic when she handed Tripp the "points to make in an affidavit" on Jan. 14... As a political appointee, Tripp believed she could lose her Pentagon job if the White House sought to exact revenge, and she knew her reputation would come under attack. But Tripp has also strongly hinted that she had a more urgent concern--her own physical safety, and that of her children. Has she been threatened in some real way? Or is she being paranoid? Tripp isn't saying...
