Re: biometrics to vote

I don't think so. You certainly don't want a one to many search on presenting your name at the voting booth. And a one to one search implies paying for a smart card with biometrics. The whole idea of an effective democracy is not to maintain the secret ballot, and not erect barriers to vote. Besides, this industry doesn't really want to get caught up in this debate -- it can only lose.

Finally, just how would you qualify absentee voters under this system? I don't think you can. Buck would be robbed again!

Buck,

In 1980....I cast 146 of the 147 absentee ballots for the other guy. I can swear to you that there was nothing improper about it. I filled out each ballot per the directions. I did not know you back then. If I had, you would have won....and who knows. President Buck.

Mayor Daily Sr. of Chicago always got 98% of the "dead for five years or less" vote......and rarely did they ever ask for political patronage jobs.

Now......big "go figure"

Siemens......very large international powerhouse. Throw it on the pile. I can't explain it....the market is looking for the big contract or earnings surprise. Just throw everything else on the pile of "feel good about owning this stock"

bg

ps. J. Saf has been out of town.......Not in an avalanche as some have rumored......at SnowBird.....trapping hundreds for 9 hours up in the Little Cottonwood Canyon with nothing to do but suck down $5.00 highballs.

I hear he is back now......and believes that we, on the thread scooped the Turkey deal......and that steve deserves the Wendell for finding it so long ago.
