Dennis, Good news or bad? With the Asian currency collapse, the dollar figures make these guys really rich. The figures (shares sold) don't look all that high. The number of directors selling is not a good sign. Is this a case of insiders selling at a peak or insiders taking some profits while they can? After all, 144 holders must wait around
(at least one year) to sell shares, and so they've seen DSWLF crash and rebound. Have you seen the 144 filings? I think the next
question is whether these directors are selling all of their holdings, or just selling some of their shares. Hopefully, the latter.

Dennis.

Note in my earlier post that there were 180K or so unexercised stock options. The last time they sold it was to cover the costs of exercising the options. Sell half to pay for the other half. Half goes into the float and the monies into the company. The quantity here is about right for this to be happening again.

Reason: 1)to keep books clean and not have a big buildup of dilutive options, 2)for the Insiders to collect a bigger share of the dividends. As I believe we can expect a substantial increase in dividends next time out...

They filed the 144s before the end of the quarter last time and there was speculation that the quarter would be bad. Most of us on the thread took it as a buy opportunity. The Q report that followed substantially exceeded the threads most optimistic projection.
(they seem to make a habit of doing that)

Unlike some other Insiders I can think of, Deswell Insiders don't want even an appearance that they are taking advantage of stockholders so they not only file, they sell ahead of the report.

IMO - this may be an indicator of a very good quarter.

For what it's worth,
Ron
