To my knowledge of Cisco (since 1993) they have not warned before the close of a quarter. Their only warnings have come during their conference calls during their earnings reports.

I don't expect them to warn this quarter although this tends to be their slowest quarter every year.

All the information I have at hand indicates that the Internet Backbone is getting more burdened with traffic and that we need much more build-out with the things that Cisco does best.

I'm waiting to see how 3Com does IMHO they should do fine.

Another country heard from here. I agree 100% with Eric. Cisco hasn't warned in years...and has something like 24? quarters (shoot, I can't remember the number but it's big) of meeting expectations. I think that Cisco will be within a penny of expectations.... no exciting upside and no downside either. As you put it; The Rock of Gibraltar....good long term winnner to hold onto and add to at dips.
