steve, doesn't look like us in any way on the Army news. It is just a pilot though, and if you remember we lost that pilot in Texas that looked like it was sewed up.
Separately, we were doing some sort of pilot with the D.O.D on medical smart-cards. I believe it was mentioned in the annual report. I wonder how that one is going! It seems like different companies are taking different directions and ours seems to be leaning toward the hospital end of it, while others seem to be directed to banking. Either way it is good. The Hospitals make all the money and put it into banks!

Lehman Bros. First Call Note -

- Subject is contract with Siemens for Turkish Parliment voting/conference system
- Emphesizes that contract was based largely on Siemens' "prior positive experiences" with Identix.
- Believes that this is another example of the small contracts that will eventually snowball into industry ecceptance of biometrics.
- Still expecting a 300% increase in QEPS from 2 cents to 6 cents.

Army smartcard contract - Great application. Wish it was us, but it appears that Identicator beat us to the punch.

"To verify their identities, recruits place their index fingers on a special sensor. Software supplied by Identicator Technology compares the information from the sensor with the fingerprint stored on the card."

Phillipines contract - If Identix is involved and the Turkish Parliment contract is any guide, we won't find out about Identix's involvement for another 6 to 12 months.
