curiosity re institutional holders
got a cold call from a Florida broker who said BASF had a substantial stake in IVX and is looking to increase their holdings by 8mill shares. is it true that BASF is the distributor for IVX generics in Europe?
would someone please update me on the rights offering terms.
am lucky to say that i sold at 29 and only luckily missed being long when IVX went into virtual freefall.
the last couple months of postings leads me to believe that IVX is more of a speculation than an investment and that longs would tend to exit if they could get back to even.
noone seems to be crowing about their 50% gain from the 6s to the 9s...i spose that's a sign this is a more adult thread.
TIA

Charlie...

I just entered my "sell at market" order to get out of IVX. Bid was 9.375 and I don't have a confirmation yet. Been about 10 minutes. Boy, I hate having to wait for Ameritrade to confirm. Worst part of their service.

If I got 9.375 it would be a 12.78% gain for about 5 weeks. This is the way I prefer to trade, but it takes work to do it <G>.

Usually, after I sell, I don't even look back at the stock for several days/weeks. IVX doesn't have news that I'm aware of that should drive it higher, but, the chart suggests it might go up.

I'll keep an eye on it. I'll post here if I decide to get back in. One of the "events" that I'd have to see would be some building volume for a while followed by price breaking above 9-0. Of course, that would have to be supported by my other indicators.

Anyone agree? Disagree? I'm not LOCKED in on my opinion here <G>.
