Hey! August company here! But it's more complicated than taht:

She said she heard that he said/did to someone who said that she said according to him, which was corroborated by her next-door neighbor over coffee, who believes that he said, five years ago, that she offered, but then changed her mind...

And so on. But...as always, cui bono?

Hi George,

Didn't know if you were kidding or not, but MPD as used here I believe refers to Multiple Personality Disorder.

If something was "impertinent" as you say then why should he have had to lie under oath? No reason to break the law over something impertinent. Why can't he just stand up like a man and admit to his own actions?

Most don't really care for or about Clinton's peccadillers, but perhaps due to his peccadillers he dipped into illegal territory. That is the irony of the whole thing and the real question. Did he do something illegal? Apparently, even Janet Reno thought there might be something here. She authorized Starr to conduct his Monica investigation.

As to whether Clinton's peccadiller amplifier is linear... Paula has said that's a definite NOPE. ;)

Legend: pecaddilers ~ peccadilloes :)

>>I think Clinton is a terrible President, but why on earth shouldn't he lie when he is asked impertinent questions by independent prosecutors on some prurient witchhunt?

I'm glad that you acknowledge that he has lied. The Clintonistas present resist that reality at all costs.

>>Whatever happened with Monica et al it is hesaidshesaid personal shenanigans that are no business of the courts.

But as long as they are, he's fair game. Remember it was his crowd that wanted the courts involved and he actually signed into law some of the very statutes that are being used to hang him. That crowd has not hesitated to use that stuff against Republicans, so why should Republicans demur now?

Taken together, his actions might even qualify as a Sexual Suicide.
