Yes, it does make one wonder. I'll bet the USR execs are catching a lot of flack for the inventory, even though it's 3Com's own damn fault for not performing satisfactory due diligence.

John certainly doesn't need the salary any more than Cowell does.

If shipments were booming, people would be re-assigned. McCartney leaving is disturbing if he was fired, though maybe the bright side is that turn around is on the way, if there are problems.

What about the channel stuffing that went on and I don't think COMS was ever too thrilled with that. The USRX boys sold the farm and made millions, this does not surprise me at all. We can only speculate at this time on the specifics but COMS put in their own guy at MCD and I know he wasn't happy with the channel stuffing. Perhaps McCartney has been on the hit list for awhile, who knows?
