Sonny-Re: CPQ/DEC deal.

There are several posts on the CPQ thread (with links) that say the rumors of the deal falling apart are false. Like you, I'm not sure whether it would be percieved as good news or bad. The whole fiasco reminds me of the COMS/USRX deal. I was long (with good profits) in USRX and had just bought COMS and lost my butt on both. I believe both were good mergers, but were not well recieved in the market.

However, the mood on the CPQ thread is decidedly bearish. Lots of talk of dropping to the 'teens.
