You are unconscious!

AMD match Intel's speed!

AMD's development fab had to squeak out a few 0.25 micron K6's at 266 MHz, while Intel has been delivering 300 MHz Pentium IIs on a 0.35 micron process for over 9 months!

ANd the 0.25 micron Pentium IIs are already available at 350 MHz!

it is not only about intel but rather what market demands. 3d chips probably would be there. But it is not for k6-3d that amd needs 1.5b this year. Then why?
