Tony, excellent question regarding the difference between number of sites and number of DVG's needed.

To help clarify this let try to explain.

The number of DVG's deployed to those 18 sites would be predicated more on the number of simultaneous calls expected to placed. This would be based on a formula of x-number of customers per port, for simplicity purposes. The formula from my understanding takes many other variables into consideration, but customers per port is the basis from which it is derived, generally speaking.

Other factors that are considered and change on a city by city basis is toll structure within those cities. For example, in San Fran. (from what I'm told) even a call within the city boundaries can produce a toll call, likewise in NYC. This has more to do with different exchanges within the area code, and ones that are non-contiguous may in fact produce tolls. Therefore it may be necessary to deploy even more DVG's per city then just based on the formula above.

For example, a city such as Chicago that may have over 100 exchanges may need as many as 8 to 10 DVG's, and that doesn't even take into account the number of subscribers per port. But do remember that each DVG can hold up to 3 eight port cards to produce 24 channels so the number of customers per port can be considerable per DVG.

So to answer your original question, there could easily be multiples in the number of DVG's that need to be deployed to 18 sites or cities.

Hopefully I conveyed that so that it was understandable.
