Really?

She might have suspected sex in a motel. But would she expect it in the hall of the Oval Office?

I think not.

I think that the circumstances only confirm her shock. I think the journalist didn't think her line out very well, it's really presposterous to anyone who didn't already believe that the Oval Office was a sex pit.

She looks like Phyllis Diller on a bad hair day. Maybe it was more than the money or her political leanings - maybe she was just jealous of Willey and of being the "ugly" friend for 20 years and wanted to bring her down?
