Jane, You didn't answer my question. Also the Teutonic Knights were mostly slaughtering slavs who had already heard the message of Christ via the efforts of the Eastern church. These slavs had the misfortune of standing on land the Teutonic knights wanted. Mostly there were converted to dead slavs. Henry

Just a question Jane or Teutonic Knights Did they convert with the sword or the mace ? A well known scourge of Europe, the Knights Templar grew grossly fat by Papal dispensation, the slaughter of innocents and the theft of their worldly goods. Their heinous crimes committed in the name of Christ are well documented and the they are well worthy of the disgust that people like Jane cause to flow their way. Insane fundamentalists, their crimes were carried out with the blessing of a temporal group of leaders who claimed spiritual authority as well. Murdering and killing seemed to be the weapons of terror that worked best for them. The gun and the common man were the threats that finally rid them of any power. Secret cabals exist which claim direct descent from the Knights Templar such as the Ordro Templii Orientus, The Hermetic Knights of the Golden Dawn, Ancient and Accepted Rites etc.. The truth of the matter is that the common man doesn't care. Secretive people, secretive groups and hidden agendas are threatened everywhere. The Mossad learned this the hard way when Mossad Agents were recently arrested by plain old policemen, international headlines made the whole affair ridiculous and farcical in retrospect. Jane's exhortations to suspect these secretive hidden people, like Knights of <Who Cares What They call Themselves, nee would work>, of committing atrocities while claiming kinship with the Lord may be worth consideration. Obviously they fly completely in the face of Christian Belief, though their sick twisted world view is well supported by the Scripture they pick out to teach initiates.
