dear mr bash: i have been in this business a long time, first as an individual investor, then on the "sell" side, now on the "buy" side. AG Edwards, for all of their sanctimoneous posturing, is a second rate firm with no investment banking expertise, foolishly naive analysts, and a trading desk that specializes in raping and then stabbing and then robbing its clients. i learned this long ago. their specific modus operandi is blatantly obvious: they report late because they are trading against your order. heads they win; tails you can't sit down for awhile without feeling some discomfort. they are so profitable because they steal money from the poor suckers who let them.

i manage a large pool of equity money and trade with only a select few desks and market makers. i know i can trust these individuals because i don't! i watch every trade, pretending my client's money is my own. i also am a big fan of insitinet, as i despise most otc traders having seen them in action for ten + years of standing behind their desks.

ps i did not pay 3/8 for the last stock i bought. and my commission rate was a very fair -- for the service and execution i got -- 2 cents per share. age would ask for 3 cents and try to make a 1/16 on top.
