Keith, APple has come up a long way on what are small earning for that value. It is a sentimental rise and there is not much more you can get from it.
Going from losing dollars a share to a small profit to making dollars a share would give Apple upward running room. But the few cents earned, and then continued(even if a bit higher) will not signal a run upwards.
You must remember that the earnings were largely an artifact of cost cuttings, and there may be some costs shifted forward to this quarter that will sandbag Apple, even reducing earnings?.
