Check out the following for timing and volume on ze for the close. Looks like some one did indeed step up and buy at the close but looks like the volume is around 20,000. This will only be good till about 10:00 AM ET tomorrow.

Go to quote.com

Enter ze in the symbol, enter 1 for time, and click on charts and click volume. My read is that 20,000 was sold 3 minutes b4 close not necessarily in one block but 20,000 was sold in that minute.

Hope this is helpful. George

Scott's read: The stock has been trending better and there is apparently not much chance of LG dumping ZE or raping the patent. The shorts are probably covering somewhat as a defensive measure against a surprise restructuring announcement at the time of the earnings announcement. The earnings could come at any time between now and 3/31. Nobody is expecting good earnings. In fact, if they are bad and the stock holds, the shorts will further cover as they have no reason to stay short. I expect ZE to announce some new development efforts as well as a possible restructuring and divestiture of non-core businesses. Isn't that what Dangremond is good at? This should be viewed extremely positively as it shows decisive focused action. Couple this with an outline for the royalties and we have a squeeze. I do believe that the Korea Herald article was referring to 60 million profit in 1999. They said it would result from patent royalties and DTV won't truly arrive till 1999. I think that this was a misquote possibly due to translation. Zenith is very unhappy whenever the Korean's issue statements without going through ZE's channels. Maybe the Korean's are as anxious as us and can't wait to spread the word!
