Hi Suresha. Short ALTR? Good trade. Don't let Robin know!!!

Just one last point.

Although I haven't been too fond of SOX for a while, don't forget that most of them have pretty much bottomed. This is the signal that market is sending for now. For example, two days ago BTB for SEMI was released and showed continued weakness in orders and billings. That was the day after MU released earnings. AMAT, NVLS, KLAC all fell ahead of MU(I was short NVLS/XLNX ahead of MU but covered too early...story of my life!!!) and fell a bit further after BTB was released but they haven't crashed. Considering BAY and JBIL's warnings, you have four bad news in three days. Still no crash.

SOX is not going anywhere for a while but there is hope that the worst will be over in the next 2 qtrs. Within SOX, the two strongest stocks are TXN and LLTC. LLTC is a great trading stock and a good company. keep an eye on it. Still look healthy and it is one of those buy-on-dips kind of stock. ~55% of their revenue comes from this side of Atlantic, mostly from wireless, networking, notebooks, and defense applications. MXIM looks OK too.

BTW, something is going on with SNPS. Could be options-related.

Take care;

Clint
