Sounds reasonable jtechkid. I wish you well in your positions and you are ahead so that's cool. Isn't everyone expecting this year to be rough though?

In general and as an aside, are there any killer apps in terms of silicon usage on the horizon? I heard Tamagotchis(sp.?) were consuming two old fabs worth of capacity a month at their peak. What's on the horizon for late '98 and '99? Just tossing ideas out here. Will DVD become hot towards the end of this year? Is Win 98 going to cause an upgrade cycle starting June 25(I hear it doesn't consume much more in the way of memory resources :-( ? NT in '99? Digital TVs will probably ship with closer to 16MB due to improved compression technology instead of the current 96MB, but those won't be cheap for awhile. Set-top boxes? Are digital cameras going to become mainstream? Some are selling for $249 now. All those handheld Windows CE devices. They have to be about $150 before I'll buy one though. The next Sega console should be very cool.

We longs need some hot digital device to soak up some of this capacity.
