_Lilacs Like You_

The days beginning blows an eternity.
Perfumes are free when the breeze sends the scent.

It came about to me in the Spring of our relationship.
With a fragrant mist
In that gentle air that dallied
When your backyard perfumes became so personal
to my sense of joy.

And as it hit me
I felt compelled to explore this source
Of your backyard bottled perfume.

Much to my expectations it was a lilac I felt
Reaching in and touching my heart.
But not just one,
There must have been a dozen
Large enough to fill my sight.

Much the same your presents has on me.
It's those feelings you give me
Of peace and beauty
That stand like a twin
To your orchard of lilacs.

So as time passes on,
And I remember you,
I'll think of your backyard
And lilacs like you.

Hello Carol

How are you, Please don't complain about James Flynn's poem. I know that we shouldn't swear, children might be reading, heheheh ,but James seems like he might be a Christian and his poem may be a claim to that. I am not trying to decide, but I have used it as an example on the Ask God thread in a discussion I started with those claiming to be Christians. I am trying to get the Christians to stop calling each other satanists over there.

The Selfish Lover

I have not nearly had enough
so that I beg to stay
because it may be quite some time
before again I pass this way.

Lets take these fleeting moments,
make of them what we will.
The road is calling and I must off,
will you be lying here still?

Will you lie in vermillion light
thus fix your mournful stare
so that when finally I do return
I'll enter it and find you there.

When I fill your eyes again
will the look you gave me then
be there for me to feel?

Stitch

Twists and Turns

Miles to go
before I sleep,
where forgotten
memories seep,
dusty country roads,
feet kicking up
little devils of dust,
diamond stars
twinkle and blink,
warm waves crash
on hushed
sandy shores,
where two lovers
stroll in dark velvet,
hands link,
two hearts in tune,
climb the mountain
tested and tried,
ink black peak
not easily scaled,
unearthed memory
buried in deep recess
of ancient tombs,
miles to go
before I sleep,
twisting and turning,
each one a
heartache.
