Why would it be game over for me? Ballard has no earnings to determine the true value of the company. As I said before Ballard
will probably end up in MARS before the earnings bring it back down
to reality. The way to short is to wait for the short squeeze. No one
in their right frame of mine is going to go long on a spike upwards.

Similiar action occured with Presstek another favourite of the
short sellers. When the short sellers give in it will be time to
go short for the long term. Until then its buy and sell, sell and buy. Or if you have real guts Buy puts. Today the March 160 puts
low $.80 High $10.50.

If you long guys want to make some bucks sell covered calls. They
have lots of premium in them. The Jul 150s are going for ~$28.00.
So 1 contract nets you $2800 bucks. If Ballard drops down, then
buy back the contract and pocket the difference. Ballard is so
volatile you could probably sell CCs a couple times a week.

So don't be mad at short sellers, be glad, they are your friends.
They prevent excess valuations on the upside and downside. Keeps things going and make bucks on the Covered Calls.

Currently Ballard is worth more or closer to than:
Western Star $300M
Detroit Diesel $511M
Volkswagen $802M
Cummins Engines $2.5B
---
Nissan $10B
United Technologies $20.7B
Catepillar $20.9B
Chrysler $27B
Honda $33B

And here is something interesting :

"IFC, and its ONSI subsidiary, based in South Windsor, Conn., are the world leaders in providing fuel cells for military, space and commercial applications. IFC is a business unit of Hamilton Standard, part of the United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX - news; UTC) family of companies. IFC supplies the fuel cell power generators used on NASA's fleet of space shuttle orbiters and supplied fuel cell power plants for the Apollo program, Sky-lab and the joint Apollo/Soyuz missions."
