The Dove of the Desert !!! Excellent !!!

I am heading for Phoenix in about an hour, to kibitz the local companies tomorrow. Why doesn't Dallas (with a real telecom corridor) or Las Vegas (with an equally risky Strip <G>) have a local company support group like the AZ Republic, et al ??? This, I don't know. I only know they make it easier and more transparent for me to come from Dallas, and invest in Phoenix companies, than to dig around locally (which I have done). I get all kinds of VC seminar invitations, as an angel, but NOTHING for the smaller local or even Texas public companies. So be it, as long as there are a Phoenix and an SI available.

Its a short ride, and I also get to rip the velcro on another seat, to see the "Made by BEAV" label. The stewardesses hate it, because the seat never goes back down quite right. I tell them I'm just "looking for loose change", which is correct after a fashion. <G>

Jaime,
Thanks for the info. I'm very familiar with SMU's products, etc. Quick correction, though. They first supplied armor for the Humvee while our troops were "protecting" all that food in Somalia...due to the casualties being taken from small arms fire and land mines. BTW, for those of us that grew up near the ocean...the bird looks more like a seagull than a dove.
