SMU, building a new paradigm in transportation safety. 1996 has been a base building year for Simula. It is 1997 and time to reap the rewards. SMU is a family of companies that designs and manufactures occupant safety systems and devices engineered to safeguard human life in a wide range of air, ground and sea transportation vehicles. SMU has built alliances with other companies. It has ramped up manufacturing facilities in USA and in Europe. Two products that I am keeping close tabs on for acceptance are the G-16 seats for Airlines & the ITS system for Automobiles. 1. G-16 seats These seats withstand 16 times the force of gravity. These seats will not disintegrate or loosen themselves from the planes floor up to 16X G forces. (unlike seats used for todays airlines) Has 50 orders so far. 2. The ITS system (Inflatable Tubular Structure ) This passive device will activate and protect front seat individuals in automobiles on side impact. (Not an airbag) The NHTSA works closely with SMU and eagerly awaits results of the ITS and development of "smart chips" for smart airbags. SMU owns a semiconductor company Sedona Scientific"to design chips for the deployment of the ITS and the New generation of "smart air bags". Today 1/6/97, SMU closed @ 14.875 turning the short term trend up. Intermediate trend is already up. A close above 17.375 would turn the long term trend LONG.
