D. and Z., you two have taken my comment way out of context.

It had nothing to do with the capitalization of the industry (and I think you knew that). Computers and semiconductors WERE the big boomers, but what stocks are tearing up the market as if there's no tomorrow? AOL, YHOO, CMGI, VRSN, etc. While INTC, AMD, RMBS, TXN, etc. languish. The computer and electronics market continues to grow, but the margins are dropping, erasing the easy profits. We now have gutterball computer prices that we never would have dreamed of, and the price is headed DOWN. It's a war zone out there. The semi's were infamous for their high PE's, but now they look tame compared to flying net stocks. The net is rushing thru America, and yes, the semi's make that possible. But the big, quick profits right now are net stocks. Intel and company no longer rule. They're a tool. For the internet.
