i think it funny that lot of people i hear say all the bad news is already built into these techstocks. all the bad news is discounted into the stocks. amat was at 50. why is it then when just about every company comes out with pre announcements or bad numbers the stock gets hit. dalls semi came with not that bad of numbers and the stock down 10% -and you know the others. if truly investors were betting on 1999-2000 and disregarding the short term why are the stocks being so punished. maybe because people actually believe the numbers are reliable? give me a break. i think thats all what i ,teri, aki, and everybody else is saying that be careful the writing is on the wall for amat numbers not to be credible shortterm. . hey. i'm a long term bull but i rather buy amat at 23-24 then 35 -38. the people who have bought intc , vlsi,mu, ds, mtsn,klac,klic, lrcx, mu,ect their not happy. smart bulls are rational and understand how the market works and looks for this as advantage. this goes for tech companies because of the volitile nature. i think amat eps will come down hard and could miss the street and the stock gets hit to 25 dollers. i would rather buy at 25 then 33. remember all tech companies are related like cousins in some way or another. if intc and cpq and smaller semi's are having problems and theirs stocks are getting hit bad do not be ignorant that amat is not exposed to this . amat is the leader ,so what, intc is the leader so is compac, the company can't have a problem because they are the leader.
