DELL's doing fine.

You have argued as if DELL does not have a choice about maintaining flat margins. They do. They're eating up market share as a result, and CPQ et al are running for cover, yet there's nowhere to hide.

The channel problem is the symptom of CPQ et als' greater problems of not being able to compete on the open field. CPQ would love for DELL to make a higher margin, but to do so would be against DELL's plans for expanding market share. I'd rather invest in a company that has a choice in the matter...
