Let's see. Looking into my crystal ball.........just kidding. On a more serious note though let me say a few things (as I always do). From a fundamental view I don't see that much has really changed. I believe the street perceives Viagra as a threat to Vivus. However, I myself see Viagra as a help to Vivus (as our dear CEO says "I'm getting excited about Viagra" and heck I don't even have any MUSE inside my urethra). If what the anal_lysts say about ED and the numbers are only 1/2 correct (I believe they claim at least 10 million impotent men with only 10% seeking treatment) that leaves us with 4+million men who have not received treatment. If PFE's great PR gets 1/2 of these guys into the Drs office it will mean that even if 1/2 of the current MUSE users go to Viagra, they should easily be replaced by new clients who failed on Viagra (any MDs/urologists out there care to expound on some of these numbers?--if I'm wrong correct me). Now for the TA. Some stats first. We have not traded at 10 1/4 since the open on March 3--thats less than 3 trading weeks ago. I view 10 1/4 as our current support level. The last time we traded below 10 1/4 was on January 12--traded at a low of 10 on this date. Now for the most important question--where will we trading on Monday. My answer is if I knew I would be so filthy rich that I wouldn't be wasting my time typing this message--I would be on some beautiful Island the with at least 3 of the best looking call girls assisting me with some of the finer pleasures in life--wouldn't be needing any MUSE. I will say this however, if Vivus breaches 10 (and believe me that the shorts will be trying hard to push Vivus down into single digits), I don't think it will stay very long in the 9's because I feel that there are too many people who have been following the company/product that will have buy orders already placed or who will just buy into any price in the 9's--it will be the same guys who bought in last time at 9 11/16 to 12 and sold over 14. I think we will see a trading range between the higher 9's to the higher 11's for at least the next week or two. An earnings surprise in April with a few buy recs can easily push back up over 15 in a very short period of time. Also, those who are still long at 12-15 may very well double up at anything under 10. Speculators/traders (like myself) will buy into prices below 10 looking to make a relatively quick 50% with minimal downside risk. I honestly don't know how a Viagra approval or lack thereof by months end will effect Vivuses stock price. Many vivites say that they want to hear the news one way or another as they believe that it will help the share price in the short run by removing another cloud of uncertainty. Even Merril was shorting at 10 3/8 this afternoon but he was also buying or covering at 10 5/16--you cant lose when you are making the market--all those 16ths add up especially on high volume. Hang in there longs--our rhino may be down but at least he's still breathing. Heck, the way things have been going lately, I don't think it can be much worse. Pfizer with all their money should be buying up vivus at these prices. They can then do a hostile takeover and totally dominate the ED drug market.
