What is this week's Apple stock performance? The following is a list
of simplistic statistics in recent two weeks' comparison:

Price Range based on close price - this week: $26.344 - $26.9375
last week: $22.750 - $27.125

Volume - this week: 13.08m
last week: 34.03m

Observation:

(1) The stock ran to fast last week, it jumped about 19.23%;
(2) It is totally a consolidation this week and seems to converge
at $26.5 midpoint;
(3) Most of March calls are winners;
(4) It seems to be of small volatility before Q2 report dated 4/15,
except proxy report regarding CEO candidate if any;

Phil

Could be that you are right. I'm of the opinion that Apple's earnings this quarter is going to be a pleasant surprise to all. Hence, my expectation of after earnings reflation.

The sector's inventory quagmire will keep investor confidence low going into the third quarter, so I expect 30 to be the high water mark into July unless news complicates things.

If Apple ships Rhapsody, there are many questions that will be answered. The effect will be positive, but I'm not quite sure how soon after the announcement the stock price will reflect the Rhapsody potential for earnings. Wall Street may wait to see how well it is received.

Good hunting,
