Dave
I think perhaps by dilution the analyst meant the decrease in eps due to drag on earnings by continuing losses at Cellcore (it is not profitable yet--which enables it to join a list of other DSC losing endeavors--IMTN, Danish sub, Internet Cutter, and recently sold Airspan). (Spent millions developing the Internet cutter, but have not sold even one)

Has anyone heard of what happened to the purchase from Tex Inst? Is that yet another losing endeavor?

How they can screw up in such a hot market is beyond me.

It appears that the DSC hoped for recovery is starting to fizzle. Analysts are tired of hearing, "wait till the second half."

DSC needs new products, not just modifications to existing ones.

More precisely, as many have noted, they need new management. They only good people they have is their legal team.

Cash or stock an acquisition can be dilutive. In the case the dilution is caused by a reduction in interest income ($160 million less cash to generate interest income) and by the operating losses of Celcore. This will amount to 2-3 cents per quarter until Celcore sales ramp in the second half.
