Maverick, the reason I am not plunging into internet commerce, is that I do not understand it and cannot determine the winners from the losers. I understand wafers pretty well, and there really are not that many new competitors, just a glut a supply from existing participants (including new capacity at MEMC itself). In 33 months (the end of 2000) a lot of wafer fab capacity will come on line that will need to be fed wafers and even 300 mm wafers. I think that WFR's stock price will start turning long before it business fortunes turn.

hi guy, but geez, recently my "PSYCLE sm" added WFR at 15 or so (and APM at 10+, up already) to my depressed, basing buy list, with close stops as usual, for normal, trading, technical pattern bounces, from here....also was TRID @ 7. as an "exhaustion V bottom", up a little already, and KMAG @ 14 or so, up a little also, so far, in this "technical-rise into-neg.-sentiment group rotation" I have done so well with so often, as you know....gosh, I respect your postings as you know....but the technical chart patterns say give WFR and APM near recent lows only, a shot here....I usually buy L.T., in-the-money calls, in bases, etc., no emotion, and ignoring all "fundamental stories" good or bad anyway....I guess that's what makes markets, yes ? anyway, hope you are doing well, and keep in touch,

P.S. gave also out some depr. oil. svc. issues 2-3- weeks ago, on S.I., as bouncers, worked again, so far....some depr. Prec. Metals also look interesting as pot. saucers....take care,
