I have pondered this for some time. If you look at their portfolio, it is pretty much standard mutual fund holdings. How could they out perform the market using "vanilla" equities.

I have done over 25% compounded since the crash in 1987, but my universe is volatile high tech stocks and other special situations. Glad to learn what i already suspected was true.

I sold my TLAB at $55 not too long ago. I was looking for a correction that has not materialized yet. When it does, I am back in TLAB.
