They must be referring to the JPC. I think all these contracts are non-exclusive. I remember Seamans mentioning this with regard to BC and I think Zionts may have said something similar. Telechoice said the US West contract w/Netspeed shouldn't be taken as exclusive, that US West was still taking RFP's (this was before Cisco acquisition though). I read a post somewhere in a newsgroup in the last few days that in Phoenix, US West had recently gone to another vendor, don't know if it was to Netspeed or from. (Paradyne's MVL?) zdnet.com

Ericsson teams with Motorola on ADSL

Ericsson Business Networks AB and Motorola Semiconductor Products Inc. announced an agreement last week to develop asymmetrical digital subscriber line products that will allow service providers to offer low-cost ADSL services.

The xDSL market sure seems to be heating up, almost everyday there's some sort of announcement. Zionts indicated in the last conference call that Westell's future depended on satisfying the needs of its key customers, GTE, Bell Atlantic and British Telecom. Its just a matter of time before one of these announces a deployment contract with Westell. Dave
