>>competition.

AOL is hurting, trying to control costs so it can
keep showing profitable quarters.

NSCP is late to the party, and if it takes on debt to buy
SEEK, they're going to have the same worries as AOL,
but worse. Adding new content is expensive.

MSFT is my pick for the Yoohoo? beater. billg wants to
"own the desktop" and he has billions of cash, and MSNBC
is a running operation already, offering content that
a lot of people are interested in. There was a news story
the other day that MSFT was entering into some deal with
UPI to enhance its news feed. And, they're giving away for
free their Netshow software (competition for RealAudio),
which could well be integrated directly into the WIN 98
desktop.
