Jim, You say Death Valley is a great place . . . you left out the <vbg>, right? I think you mean Lassen National Park. It is beautiful up there. Did you venture into any of the larger metropolises, such as the Los Angeles area, San Francisco/Silicon Valley, San Diego? You should be warned that we Californians are ever curious about the few people whose California experience consists only of brief visits. Perhaps it is because we are secretly envious. Holly

I've been to Death Valley many times and enjoyed it immensely each time.

It was better when it was a "Monument". Now that it's a "Park" it has gotten more heavily trafficked, just like the Mojave.

There's a little part of DV in Nevada called Devil's Hole. Interesting place.
