You were in Utah so I assume you must have seen Zion and Bryce Canyons? They are gorgeous.....I liked them better than the Grand Canyon.

Near Salt Lake there are two canyons, Cottonwood and Little Cottonwood. Little Cottonwood is home to Alta and Snowbird, while the other is home to Solitude and Brighton Ski Areas. Both canyons are 45 minutes from the Salt Lake airport, and are reputed by most skiers as the most bountifully blessed with powder in NA, and probably the world. Certainly a skier's mecca. Park City and Deer Valley which will host some of the 2002 Winter Olympics back up to these canyons on the east side of the Wasach mountains.
