Isn't this good news of what? AMD is helping every mom&pop businesses and SMB (Small & Medium Businesses) to develop softwares for the K6-3D. SMB are loving it. They are finally getting a chance to make some serious money with the competitive advantages over the big software companies of being the first to develop softwares for the K6-3D. A chance and an opportunity is not an easy thing to get in the competitive market.

AMD is smart enough to make the 3D MMX available for everyone. AMD will create a solid infrastructure before the release of Intel MMX2.
Intel is in the ivory tower, unwillingly to talk to the puny SMB. They figured that "if we make them they will come". I wonder what happen to the MMX?

Maxwell - Re: "AMD will do well if they can yield high on the 0.25um

There's that word IF again.

It seems every statement about AMD has to be prefaced by that word IF.

Re: "Up to date Intel has penetrated ONLY 25% of the market with PII. 75% of the market STILL USE SOCKET 7! This 75% market is ALOT OF MONEY. AMD will milk this market before they introduce their slot A (no slot 1)"

The sad news for AMD is that Intel has 100% of the Pentium II market and 80% to 85% of the socket 7 market!
