NEW YORK, March 20 (Reuters) - Furman Selz said it downgraded Lucent Technologies Inc. to hold from buy based primarily on the stock's price.

shares were off 1/16 at 119-7/16.

The article in WSJ interactive pretty much was the same but with this addition:

Currently Beijing has the country's only commercially operating CDMA system, but the company expects the system in Shanghai to begin commercial operations in April, and the one in Guangzhou to be up before the end of summer, Coyne said.

Qualcomm executives also said its mobile switching product developed with Alcatel Alsthom (ALA) will be delivered globally in the second quarter this year.

The system is based on Alcatel's S12 switching system and incorporates Qualcomm's 'cdmaOne' IS-634 open interface standard.
