This is part of an article in the March 10, 1998 issue of PC magazine. This may have appeared on the thread earlier, I can't remember. Would the patent cover this ? -

"You May like Mariah Carey's latest single, but do you really want to pay for the whole album just to enjoy one song ?..............Last year, N2K started selling downloadable stereo-quality song files at its site, Music Boulevard (www.musicblvd.com). The cost? Just 99 cents per song. You download a special player called e_mod, which decodes the files and even helps you to burn your own custom-made CDs if you have a CD-R drive."

Does the patent cover this. I hope so, because allowing people to pay for just the songs they want will be huge !
