Small wrench in your market logic. I suggest pullback wouldn't happen till late April early May--after all the last minute retirement (IRA, etc) money comes in at the end of tax season. We'll probably see market appreciation through 18 APR or so as we continue with a heavily liquidity driven market. Should be good time for NXTL to announce positive new adds number.

But an 900-1350 point (10-15% as you suggest) pullback in the market may be quite healthy in the long run.

Thots?

Kevin

fma, almost all stocks fall in down markets. Why? At least two reasons: stops are triggered and buying dries up. Let's assume good NXTL 1st qtr. adds and a Dow pullback (I don't agree with your Dow pullback in April theory). I would expect NXTL to react to a down market but after things settle down, NXTL would be in the leading edge to the upside. NXTL has generally performed better in sideways to slightly upward markets in the past year while languishing on big Dow days.

Indian Penny;
Arnie and Kevin gave you thier 2 cents worth I thought since you asked (I'm flattered) this is the best I can do.I see signs of a market pullback it will be temporary and short lived, a guy on Bloomberg this morning said the only reason this market cannot be substained (get this) is the SHORTAGE in the labor pool!wow Now as for Nextel Arnie said it best! Kevin said late April early May well, I feel the same way. I also have been calling for 10,000 on the Dow. Look at it like this, a lot of components are made in the pacific rim country's(right) those company's right now need CASH period (right so far) they will sell product for next to nothing! lower priced componants mean lower priced product, which is passed on to consumers who in turn buy more(some because they could not afford it before visa visa VCR's) The company's to get hurt the most are those who got stuck with high inventory. As far as I can see nextel should benefit along with other high tech. co. N can charge less for its's new phones,or make money on them. Anyway Nextel is right were I thought it would be, new adds for now are the only thing that really drives this stock, those should be out April 7th things generally move or start to a little earlier than the release(like someone knows something) now you do! jimmyo in complyance with wooden nickle theory.( Hurry back Al you know the guys are bored when they ask my opinion)

Fma...
I share your thoughts and time frame with the market..This market has spanked the bear every time he is feeling good. And I think this week will be no exception.
I'm looking to get long Nextel from now to April 7..Its a key date.. I haven't done any work past that time frame.. I'm not going to jump the gun until I see how it plays out..
Good luck with your position..
Ed
