Some time ago I had mentioned that there have been two successful post-WWII Presidents, Eisenhower and Reagan. What distinguished those two men was that both had achieved great success in careers other than politics and both had entered politics because they wanted to "do something" rather than "be something".

Some had questioned whether Reagan had had great success in the earlier of his two careers.
