A preacher once told a huge congregation that Hitler lost the war because God was not on his side.

A news documentary I saw about ten years ago had it that Hitler, at the time just before the invasion (of which he had no idea) was near exhaustion and he had issued strict orders not to be disturbed from sleep for the next 24 hours. This gave the Allies about 24 hours' headstart ----apparently a terrific and unneutralizable advantage. However, the German High Command was so confident that they never bothered to wake up their Fuehrer. (Some of them thought he had been a nuisance, anyway! So why bother at all.) Their analyses showed that the Allies had committed an unimaginable blunder!

War games analyses done by military experts later confirmed that Normandy was a very poor choice from a strategic standpoint and that the Germans could have dealt the Allies a crushing defeat had Hitler been awake to order the Panzer Divisions to roll into action.

The Allies were so lucky, weren't they? An Act of God?!?!!

Ain't it too bad that, at that time, Yogi Beara was not yet around to tell the 'Krauts', "It's not over till it's over?"

You just write off the billion in China, the Soviet adventures throughout SouthEast Asia, the African continent, all the Warsaw Pact countries and their sponsorship and attempted entre into Central and South America?

Face it, where Nazism failed, Communism almost succeeded. And it made much more headway than Hitler could've ever dreamed of with its various Soviet states and puppet governments.
