I am confident that management still feels that the buyback is an excellent plan still and will most likely continue to do so for 2 reasons. 1) by buying them here even though they are more exespensive than they were at the time of the announcement. The date of the announcement was 1-30-98 and 8 trading days before that the price was 7/8's, here is a direct excerpt from the release
The current price level of Digitcom shares represents a sharp under-valuation of the company, and
provides management the opportunity to increase our financial resources and flexibility with a
re-purchase program," said Digitcom Chief Executive Officer Jimmy Chin.

Purchases of shares will be made from time to time at the management's discretion in the open
market.

As you will note unless, they met and made the decision the same day then released the info the same day there is week or so we are talking about wqhen DGIV traded in a range of 7/8 to 3/8. The whole reason for the repurchase is stated above what is not stated is that they wanted to get shares out of the hands of unscrupulous investors who were shorting the stock.

Moreover, It represents a unique opportunity for them to decrease the float by retiring shares and thereby increase the bottom-line. 12% is a large % to buy back and 50K is but a mere fraction of same. Who do you think is sitting on the bid these days.

In my opinion, it is prudent and profitable to buyback shares at this level, particularily when you know what cards you are holding and where the price will be headed in the natural progression of successful deal making.

So, you see gman, it really depends on what you have in your pipe to smoke and more importantly whether or not you inhale.

Also, take not that the Bid having closed down at 1.25 was upticked at the close to a bid of 1-9/32 with the ask remaining at 1.3125. The MM's are just weeding out the day traders and soon they(DT's) will grow tired of the stock and we will naturally proceed in an upward motion til we reach an equilibrium.

The market wants to take this stock higher. We have an Inverted hammer which is a trend reversal towards Bullish sentiment but, we will need confirmation in the next day or so. I figure we got 2-3 days at best before Mr.Chin, returns and opens up the goody bag.

Why spend extra time if there is no progress? Deals take time to hammer out and I feel that our CEO has been hammering away. Time will tell, but, I won't be on the sidelines wondering because I have several tickets to the DGIV-Internet-Telephony Show.
