I heard NN is supporting a proposed standard called MPOA (Multiple Protocol Over ATM).
Has anyone heard about this?
It appears to make a lot of sense to use ATM as the Layer 2 protocol. If there will be a standard to allow multiple protocols to run over ATM, then NN should be in a very envious position IMO since they deliver well managed networks.
The carriers and the providers should love this technology since it will allow them to deliver scalable bandwidth on their networks as well as QoS.
What is the status?
