Stich, I have too agree. Especially with APM. On post# 11538, 777 Captain said he spoke to Crissman recently and he mentioned his disregard for Wall Streeters. I wonder if he mentioned his disregard for the stockholders also. I've ridden this dog down too far. I fully take the blame abandoning the fundamentals one should stick with when investing in tech stocks, but as a long in this stock I certainly felt mislead by him.

5) Seagate, Fujitsu, IBM, and Quantum all have internal head manufacturing though admittedly Seagate's and Quantum's are not doing well at present. Nevertheless, vertical integration here is not going to go away. These four account for 60% of DD market
share. Maxtor, increasingly dependent on IBM and SAE for heads, accounts for another 7% market share.
----------------------
No problem in fact I like it..key words dependent
and vertical integration what is the cheapest way for
any of them to get undependent..to be sure they have a supply,
and not have to bid aginst the others for heads..and maybe even
cut of head supply to compitition..
-------------------------
This APM won't be around much longer..not as an independent ..
but what will her foundry and production line bring , even
if you have to retool it..
set up a new one ? my God the cost..and were do you find the
ready labor to work in it..tell me if I were Maxtor I would
not be sizeing this up..or maybe more than Maxtor..but
they sure won't draw you a map..or even hint at it.
If it comes out as fact then it's to late, most of the
price will already be in the stock, yep RDRT too..
but it's not as much of a bargain yet..

BTW does Tandem still make disk drives..how about MiniScribe,
what happen to her..? damm I'm out of touch..damm why do I
still have all this obsolete junk in my back room..<G>
jus counted my old disk drives..6 of them suckes..why am
I keeping them..sure they work but....and that old 8088..
and that old 286..I got to be nuts..thank God a gave away
that old 64 commodore..this is a mess..ah 10 more years more from now
maybe I can put these things on display and sell em as collectors
items..( what a 8088 that still works ? )...yes and it has 640k
too..and an Two st238r hard drives..and they still work..
and look at these games ..and all this neat stuff we had..
side kick, pop up , yes we had windows before microsoft had
windows, and here is a version of 123 r 1.1..and it will load
in memory..and it will run simple stuff on this old junk,
faster that excell can load on the new ones...
yes it's a collectors item..that's it.
I'l make you a clock face outa the nice big shinny platers
in them thar hard drives..ash trays out of the covers..
and sell this stuff only in high priced exclusive shops..
gold plate the covers..hows that one gold plated dimond studded
ash tray for an orinanl segate 225 HD..
I wonder if I still have that great big moster 10meg Tandem
wasn't i the big shot when first got that thing..a whole 10megs
and it stored the entire inventory and price list for the
parts business..what was the name of that program..sure was
