Scott Ozer,

What are you talking about here:

"checked out "post 5985" it has nothing to do with brooks fibr and am tracing bobi@bfp.net this does not come from a brooks insider, seems this is another ploy by the shorts to me."

Are you sure you have the right post no. ?

Afaq Sarwar

<< I am ignoring their posts and concentrating on those that have facts and can be clearly proven >>

Well look who is calling the kettle black. No way the bulls make unsubstantiated claims. They wouldn't dream of it.

<< I notice how the shorts are ignoring Volpe and haven't made any remarks about them >>

What's there to be said? Do you have a particular insight you'd like to share with us?

REMARKS ABOUT VOLPE FOR SCOTT (H)OZER

You want to know about Volpe? You like hard facts?

mM is a serious, high-stakes investor. If he wants to know what is going on at Volpe (and Jim Gorman cannot articulate an answer), he doesn't trade half-baked baked theories with the misinformed on SI -- he picks up the phone and dials.

So about a month ago mM spoke with Bill Ruckelshaus (MD) and Maria Malind (VP) [tel. 415-274-7913] at Volpe. Go 'head, call 'em, see if they're representing FIBR.

Basically, they were retained at FIBRs low point when it looked like a fire sale was imminent (i.e., before Par dreamed up Net+Arm and before the NASA and Brooks publicity stunts). They began to shop all three divisions to meet the cash crunch. But now that Par has all you Yahoos buzzing about his two "cutting edge" new products and his big lead to market over Cienna and Lucent, Volpe is just collecting adviser fees. Oh, I suspect they are probably working on something to staunch the $20mm in operating losses (mM's estimate) FIBR will incur this year. My guess - - a Reg S offering at 50 cents a share.

Probability of Gigamux or Net-Arm sales in 1998 -- 1%
Probability of massive shareholder lawsuit in 1998 -- 99%
