Hi Mark, Turbodyne makes turbochargers. They do not offer alternative fuel conversion products. Their system successfully optimises fuel/air ratios so engines run cleaner with higher efficiency, but they still run on diesel fuel. Pollution levels are reduced, but I don't think they are anywhere close to the levels required by Euro II for example. Do you know how the cost of their systems compares to dual fuel arrangements?

regards, tj

Hi Bonnie and all.
There is a thread here on SI for Turbodyne. The opening intro gives a good description of the products. They are awaiting imminent
EPA certification. Their product is different as it used to cut emissions from their engines. There is no need to convert to NG.
Detroit Desiel jointly applied for the EPA certification with Turbodyne. The CEO of Turbo, Walter Ware, came over from DD. IMO the obvious will be OEM as soon as the EPA stamp comes through.
They purchased a large manufacturing co. in California that did about 29 million in sales this year. That plant has been moved to Mexico as sales had increased beyond the plant capabilities. They will also be manufacturing the Turbopac products in California and/or Mexico.
It seems most of the Howe St. rounder types have moved on and the current directors and CEO have some very impressive CV's.
As I owned shares in Turbodyne when it traded on the VSE as TTO, I have watched WPT with interest. On that thread I read about ATF and then read this entire thread. It is a very exciting area of the market. After researching the 3 stocks I believe that Turbodyne leads the race, followed by ATF and then WPT.
I think this because of the stage of testing that they are at. The EPA
certification is a long drawn out process that takes about a year.
I also asked myself if I owned Detroit Deseil or Cummings or Daimler Benz and manufactured deseil engines, wouldn't I use a product that enhanced the engine not convert it to another fuel?
After all they are a desiel engine co. not NG.
Anyways I have been terribly wrong before...
Hop over to the Turbo thread and check it out. I think you will be impressed with the products and new management changes made very recently.
