The GIFS 10K was first Edgarized in middle or late November of 1996; I am certain of this because I personally uploaded the files. The date you refer to is the revision date due to the name change from Genesis Insurance and Financial Services, Inc. to Genesis International Financial Services, Inc. The change was not made to better describe the "global direction" of the company--as Mohamed reported at the NYSSA meeting at the World Trade Center (Gayle Essary had the privilege of introducing Mohamed), but rather was done to comply with a federal judge's order to stop using the Genesis Insurance name or be fined $50,000 per use. Ken Todd Note: If you recall this was the period that GIFS was riding high: Motorsports was announced, the prices were climbing, Mo was at the World Trade center, Street Level was in overdrive, etc. I doubt many investors took time to wipe the dollar signs ($$$$) out of their eyes--other than Caroline and Tod--while reading the 10K--even if they read it at all. BTW 90% of the 10K came from Janet Robert the paralegal on staff.
