Joe,

If my theory about the 5 wave decline is correct and if today's
Candlestick hammer holds true tomorrow, then I believe we have hit the bottom. I meant to place a pre-market order last night for 9 3/4, but I did not think we would hit it so quickly. By the time I realized what had happened, we were back in the $10 range. I think we will trend higher from here....maybe not right away, but it seems that a LOT of value investors have stepped up to the plate today, as can be seen by the many posts today. I expect us to recover to the $11-12 range and then retest the lows of today. It may take a while though... a few months...before the stock makes any significant move higher...due to the psychologic and technical damage incurred today.

I agree with you about questioning management for selling a lot of games but still not being able to put out a profit. I think ATVI needs to re-evaluate what they are doing and focus on improving gross margins. They really need to grow income as fast or faster than revenues.

Tom

They publish a lot of games which have lower gross margins like
Quake II, Hexen II, Sin, etc. Also with ID going to ION Storm it
looks like Quake III will be too. Hexen III too.

Even though a game gets good reviews, it doesn't mean it sells alot.
You have to check the best sellers lists to see how well the games sell. For Feb 98 in the Top Ten list Quake II was #5.

Also a lot of these new games need Voodoo cards to get the best
eye candy.

>>>The real question mark with this company right now and the reason I believe so many people sold is How could they sell so many games (based on the number of new games they put out, the relatively good reviews, and the higher revenues they've stated) and STILL NOT MAKE MONEY? <<<
