After the earnings disaster I sense from the content of many posts on this thread that the longs are trying to rationalize as to why COMS shouldn't be taken behind the woodshed Wed and spanked good and hard. Don't forget about what happened to oracle when it missed earnings (from >30 to <20) last quarter. Depending on Microsoft to help pull up COMS or on the generally manic bull rally to prevent COMS from being sold off is a poor rationalization to be long after the earnings announcement. COMS is not a bad company and I have nothing against it. IMO stock price should be based on PROVEN earnings and not on unproven expectations. The earnings estimates for this quarter were made based on expectations. COMS did not live up to expectations. By any standard COMS earnings were a SEVERE DISAPPOINTMENT. I don't know how the Street will respond to this disappointment but if it responds in a traditional manner then COMS will have a sore butt come tomorrow.
